While some city cops were investigating another shooting – one 24-year old victim with a non-life threatening gunshot wound, according to reports, and one woman arrested – Troy’s top brass in the Police Department were swearing in three new police recruits.

The three officers were sworn into Tuesday and begin at the police academy Wednesday.

Michael Bourdon: currently employed at Albany Medical Center as a Forensic Autopsy Technician.

Kristen Spinnato: currently employed at the Albany County Corrections Department as a Corrections Officer. She has extensive experience in EMS, Rescue Squad and Paramedic work, officials said.

Richard Kempter: currently employed as a Lt. with the V.A. Police, Albany Veteran's Administration Hospital. He served in the U.S. Navy from 2003-2007, rank E-4.
