Beginning with an arrest under Leandra’s Law, police announce a slew of arrests for driving while intoxicated. Atop the list, a man is charged after he rolled his SUV over with his two kids inside, ages 9 and 5. The kids are fine.
Police say Francis Anderson, 37, was drunk when he lost control of his Ford Explorer on Shelving Rock Road in Washington County Saturday evening. He is charged with DWI, endangering the welfare of a child and other traffic violations.
Aug. 4: Troopers in Mayfield arrested Alfred Jackowski, 57, (left) of Amsterdam and is charged with misdemeanor DWI. Troopers stopped him on Route 29 in the Town of Mayfield for crossing the center line and detected an odor of alcohol coming from his breath, police said. He failed field sobriety tests and was arrested with a BAC of .13%, police said. Jackowski was ticketed and is due in Town of Mayfield Court on Aug. 19 at 3:00 pm.
Aug 4: Troopers in Mayfield arrested Michael Skinner, 43, of Galway for misdemeanor DWI. He was stopped on Union Mills Rd. in Broadalbin because his rear light was not working, police said. Upon interviewing Skinner, Troopers detected an odor of alcohol and he failed field sobriety tests, arrested and his BAC measured .12%, police say. Skinner was ticketed and is due in Town of Broadalbin Court on Sept. 4 at 5:00 pm.
Aug. 3: Troopers in Mayfield arrested Naidine Brown, 22, of Gloversville, for misdemeanor DWI. She was stopped by Troopers on Route 122 in Johnstown because her vehicle was seen leaving the scene of a report of criminal mischief, police said. While interviewing Brown, Troopers detected and odor of alcohol coming from the vehicle so standard field sobriety tests were administered and she failed. Brown’s BAC was .08% and she was released on tickets and is due back in court Aug. 20 at 6:00pm.
Meantime, Brown's passenger, Marisa Crocetta, admitted to Troopers that she was involved in the Criminal Mischief in Johnstown and she was turned over to Johnstown Police Department for processing, police said.
Aug. 3: Troopers in Mayfield arrested Kyle Killburn, 20, of Amsterdam and charged him with misdemeanor DWI. Troopers arrived at Smith Rd. in the Town of Perth for an automobile accident. While interviewing Killburn, Troopers detected an odor of alcohol coming from him and the vehicle so tests were administered and failed, police said. He was processed with a BAC of .13% and charged with DWI, released on tickets and is due back in Town of Perth Court on Aug. 11 at 4:30pm.
Aug. 2: A Trooper from Mayfield arrested a Mayfield man for DWI following a traffic stop. The Trooper stopped the car on 2nd Ave. and while interviewing of the driver, they detected a strong odor of alcohol. Brian Webb was asked to get out and issued Standardized Field Sobriety Tests which he failed, police said. Webb was arrested and found to have a BAC of .11%, ticketed and is due in town court on Aug. 5.
Aug. 2: Troopers from Mayfield arrested Gina Trimarchi, 24, of Amsterdam for DWI during a road check on Route 30 in the Town of Perth. During the interview, Troopers detected a strong odor of alcohol so Standardized Field Sobriety Tests were administered and failed, police said. Trimarchi was found to have a BAC of .12%, ticketed and due in Town of Perth Court on Aug. 18.
Aug. 1: A Broadalbin man was busted for Aggravated DWI by a Trooper from Mayfield after a traffic stop. The Trooper pulled him over for speeding on Route 30 in the Town of Perth and while conducting the interview, detected an odor of alcohol. Kevin Convertino was asked to exit the vehicle and issued Standardized Field Sobriety Tests which failed, police said. Convertino was arrested with a BAC of .19%. He was ticketed and is due in Town of Perth Court on Aug. 4.
