Three people have been arrested in two separate shoplifting cases at the Wilton Wal-Mart on Old Gick Road over the weekend, police said.
First, two women were arrested on Saturday, April 26, when State Police were called after security had them in custody. The investigation determined that Adriana V. Saldana-Perez, 25, of New York City, and Alyssa H. Davis, 25, of Schenectady, had put assorted clothing items into their respective shopping carts and tried to wheel out of the store, according to police.
It was determined that Saldana-Perez had taken items totaling $134.97 and Davis stole $85.62 worth of clothing, police said.
Both Saldana-Perez and Davis were taken into custody and transported to the Wilton barracks where they each were processed for petty larceny and released on appearance tickets.
Second, a Ballston Spa man was arrested at the same store for checking out past the self-checkout, police said.
Samuel A. Jefferson, 52, of Ballston Spa, cancelled a transaction at the self check-out and left the store without paying for his merchandise totaling $49.27.
Jefferson was arrested for misdemeanor petty larceny and later released on an appearance ticket.
Both are due back in Wilton Town Court on May 6.
