One conviction in the case of the death of an infant in Albany.

The D.A. says 19 year old Cavadeas Taylor, of Kingston, has been sentenced to 15 years in prison for his role in the death of a five week old infant. Taylor pleaded guilty to Manslaughter in what has been described as engaging in reckless conduct that lead to the death of Seth Knox Jr.

The baby’s father, Seth Knox Sr. is also facing charges.  The indictment against him asserts that he failed to seek prompt and adequate medical attention for his son.

Seth Knox Jr. was having difficulty breathing after an incident that occurred between June 11 and 12 of 2013 at a home on Second Street in Albany.

According to the Albany County D.A. the case against Seth Knox Sr. remains open and pending.
