Darryl Hamilton talks about the low number of African-American's in Baseball

by Darryl Hamilton on FOX Sports Daybreak

Andy and Mike talked with MLB Network Analyst and former Outfielder Darryl Hamilton this morning. Darryl talked about the low number of African American's in Major League Baseball and days it all starts with the NCAA.

Darryl Hamilton: "I blame the NCAA on this... Because when kids have options to get a full scholarship to go play Football, to get a full scholarship to go play Basketball, to get a full scholarship to go run track... And it comes to Baseball where all there is I believe is about 11.5 full scholarships each year for a Baseball team. Meaning that if a kid has to go play Baseball, he's probably gonna not be on a full ride - maybe a 1/2 or 1/4 ride, what are you gonna take? You're gonna take the full ride."
