Polynesian Football Hall of Fame 2019 Finalists Announced

The 2019 finalists for the Polynesian Football Hall of Fame are out.  They include several former longtime NFL stars.  Maori descendent David Dixon spent 13 years playing guard for the Vikings.  Samoan defensive tackle Dan Saleaumua played for the Lions, Chiefs and Seahawks for a dozen years.  Also of Samoan ancestry are quarterback Tony Banks and guard and Edwin Mulitalo, both with ten years in the NFL.  Chris Kemoeatu, seven-year guard for the Steelers is the only Tongan on the list while former high school coach Charlie Wedemeyer had a Native Hawaiian background.  Four inductees will be announced on October 24th.
