Russell Wilson Would Rather Look Good Than Be Good

In one of the silliest stories you’ll hear, Denver Broncos QB Russell Wilson claims he didn’t need to wear a wristband on the field to keep track of the plays and somehow it became news. There are plenty of QBs wearing wristbands every Sunday and Wilson’s insistence that they are unnecessary is just hubris. The advantages are obvious and his stance against them makes him seem like a guy who needs glasses but refuses to wear them.

Doug Gottlieb: “Russell Wilson’s the guy who needs glasses and refuses to wear them. Or the guy who has ADD and refuses to acknowledge it...Russell strikes you a guy who is so image conscious, so concerned about how you look...maybe he’s the guy that wears glasses when he doesn’t need them!”
