Florida State the new #1?!-After an impressive win over a still top 25 Duke team, the Seminoles have now gained the top spot in my top 25 poll. What have Georgia and Michigan done to make the case for #1? Not enough. Can that change in the last weekend of October and into November? Of course. Michigan's schedule gets tougher next month and Georgia gets Florida in Jacksonville this Saturday. We could see even more movement next week at the top.
Penn State all the way to 18th?- Why such a far top for the Nittany Lions after losing to a top 5 team in the country? It's the first time this season I've had to re-evaluate why they had been sitting in the top 10 for so long this season. Yes, last season Penn State only lost to Ohio State and Michigan. A big win over one of the schools could have changed the perception around the program. Look at Penn State's previous opponents. The cupcake schedule didn't help Coach James Franklin's squad.
