Although UAlbany's football season did not end how they like, they can pride themselves on the attention that individual players received this year as well as how well the team performed too. Redshirt Freshman quarterback Jeff Undercuffler broke multiple program records to finish second in the Jerry Rice award. Freshman wide receiver Tyler Oedekoven made SportsCenter's Top 10 plays two consecutive weeks, and Juwan Green made headlines with a highlight reel catch in the first drive of the second round of the FCS playoff game versus Montana State. That catch was recognized by one of the best to every catch a football, Hall of Fame wide receiver Randy Moss in his 'You Got Mossed' segment on ESPN. Even though Albany lost to Montana State 47-21 in the second round, it is safe to say with all the individual and team success this season, they really helped put the rest of the country on notice about UAlbany football and the talent we have here in the capital region.
