The New York Phoenix, a new professional basketball team in Schenectady, is set to hold tryouts tomorrow (January 4) at Armory Studios NY. The tryouts will run from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m., as the team prepares for its inaugural season in The Basketball League (TBL). Interested players can pre-register online at nyphoenixbasketball.com for $125, or register at the door for $150.
The Phoenix, co-owned by Rebecca Clifford, Sam Clifford, and Paul Marquardt, will play their home games on a court that was previously used in NBA Global Games in Paris. The team’s first home game is scheduled for February 28.
