Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce said he's felt a chance since his engagement to pop superstar Taylor Swift.
Kelce spoke publicly about his engagement for the first on the latest episode of his New Heights podcast when asked by his co-host and brother, retired former Philadelphia Eagles center Jason Kelce, if there was "something different" now that Swift was his fiancée. The three-time Super Bowl champion acknowledged that he felt a change when he, Swift and his brother all attended the Cincinnati Bearcats' game agains the Nebraska Cornhuskers at Arrowhead Stadium last Thursday (August 28).
“I felt that at the game actually, it was my first time introducing Taylor as my fiancee to a few of my teammates,” Travis said. “Yeah, it was pretty cool. I still get giddy. Exciting times. Still fresh.”
“You gotta know your gal or your significant other,” he added when Jason asked if he had any advice for listeners planning to propose. “And it’s gotta .. you can’t let how somebody else does it make you feel like you need to do it that way.”
Swift announced her engagement in a joint Instagram post with Kelce featuring several photos of the proposal.
"Your English teacher and your gym teacher are getting married," she wrote in the caption of the post, which had more than 28.7 million likes in less than 24 hours.
The engagement reportedly took place two weeks prior at a garden at Kelce's home in Lee's Summit, Missouri, his father, Ed, told ABC News 5.
