Los Angeles Lakers G Bronny James had a career-high 17 points last night in a loss to the Milwaukee Bucks while the rest of the world was watching the first round of the NCAA Men’s Basketball Tournament. Dan Beyer & Aaron Torres, filling in for Doug Gottlieb, wonder what could have been if Bronny had instead stayed in school and lead his team to a first round tourney win.
Dan Beyer: “If Bronny James could develop his game to the effect where he could score 17 points in an NBA game, what could he have done (with) another year at USC, or at Duquesne, or somewhere else where he maybe could have transferred and had success and led that team maybe to an NCAA tournament game, had 27 points in a first round tournament game leading that school to victory? If that happens last night, instead of you and me and others picking apart Bronny’s performance, we are lifting Bronny up on our shoulders...”
