Rob Parker: LeBron Doesn't Want To Be Criticized

Rob Parker and Kelvin Washington react to recent comments from LeBron James where he seemed to blame the NBA media for today's young players being reluctant to take up the mantle of "face of the league". To Rob, LeBron's comments aren't even really about young players at all -- it's his way of complaining about the criticism he receives.

Rob Parker: "LeBron is so phony. First it was pushback that [reporters and the media] didn't play in the league, [so they don't have the right to criticize players]. Now you've got all these former players covering the game and [he's still got an issue when they criticize him]! Which one is it? The truth is LeBron doesn't want to be criticized... You can't say anything negative, they expect you to be [completely positive]... They don't just want athletes to cover each other -- they want them to cover for each other!"
Kelvin Washington: "It eliminates the idea that we can see and dislike something! People can watch a game and not necessarily enjoy every single thing about it. I love the NBA -- it's my favorite sport -- but the idea that people can't critique it and it can't be in a funk... it's not fair!"
