Is College Basketball Still a Better Option Than Semi–Pro Leagues?

Rob Parker: “It sounds like Kevin Durant is being sentimental here. He played at Texas, so he’s nostalgic for the college game. I don’t know if college has the same weight it did in the past. Sure, if you want to go away and have an on-campus experience for six months, that’s fine, or if you think you’re good enough to try and go pro, do it. I’m going to guess and say Bronny doesn’t go to play college ball.”
Chris Broussard: “One thing KD said was if ‘Bronny went to one of these leagues, he’d disappear for a year.’ I don’t think that’s true at all. He’s LeBron James’ son, there will definitely be eyeballs on him. It might not be the same amount of attention as college if he went to Overtime Elite or the G-League, but he would definitely get tons of attention.”
